(look for the current month of Rio Salado 3-Gun)
Rio Salado Sportsman’s Club holds a 3-gun match on the second Saturday morning of each month on the Practical Pistol Bays and the High-Power range. The match is run under IMA-SMM3G rules. To see the action, check out our YouTube Channel. Our regular match format is one long-range rifle stage (typically comprising reactive targets at 100-400 yards) and three short-range rifle/shotgun stages (comprising a mixture of IPSC paper, reactive steel and frangible targets). We usually try to include a small amount of pistol too so folks can practice their transitions. Match registration opens at 7am during summer hours (April-September), 8am during winter hours (October-March), with last entries being accepted 90 minutes after registration opens. We’re usually done by lunchtime. Match fees are $15 for RSSC members and $17 for non-members. Spectators are welcome, but must wear eye protection at all times. First-time participants should come in time to attend the New Shooter Orientation, held 30 minutes after registration opens. For more details of match format, equipment rules and safety protocols, please read our 3-Gun FAQ. We look forward to seeing you on the range. Ron, Richard and the 3-Gun Crew
